Terms of Service

Last updated: [effective date] · Applies to the SwipeThisCard app and this website.

Draft — not yet in effect

This page has not been reviewed by counsel and is not the live policy. Bracketed items still need a decision: the legal entity name, the jurisdiction for disputes, and the effective date. Do not treat this as binding until those are filled in and this notice is removed.

1. What SwipeThisCard is

SwipeThisCard is an educational tool that helps you keep track of the interest-free window each card in your wallet gives you on a purchase, based on the dates and facts you type in yourself. It does not connect to a bank, does not know your real balance, and does not place any purchase, transfer, or payment on your behalf.

2. Not financial advice

Nothing in the app or on this site is financial, credit, or investment advice, and none of it recommends that you spend, borrow, or open any particular card or account. Figures shown are calculations from what you typed in, not a prediction, an offer, or a guarantee. Your card issuer’s own statement is always the final authority on what you owe and when.

3. Accuracy is on you

The app calculates from the dates and facts you enter. If your issuer changes a due date, a rate, or a fee, the app has no way to find out on its own — there is no bank connection to check against. Keeping what you’ve entered current is your responsibility; the app will say so wherever it matters.

4. Your data

What you enter stays on your device and, if enabled, in your own private iCloud account. We do not operate a server that stores it and cannot access it. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

5. Purchases and subscriptions

Paid tiers and the one-time purchase are sold and billed entirely through Apple’s App Store, under Apple’s own Media Services Terms and Conditions. Apple handles payment, renewal, and refunds; we do not receive or store your payment details, and refund requests go through Apple, not us.

6. Trademarks

Card and issuer names shown in the app and on this site are trademarks of their respective owners, used only to identify those products. SwipeThisCard is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any card issuer or network.

7. Age

You must meet the minimum age Apple’s App Store terms require to hold a payment card of your own in order to use SwipeThisCard.

8. Changes

We may update these terms as the app changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the current version; continued use after an update means you accept it.

9. Governing law

[Jurisdiction to be set once the operating entity is formed.]
